What is Ube?

Ube is a purple yam that is native to the Philippines and is widely used in Filipino cuisine. It is known for its sweet, nutty flavor and vibrant purple color, which makes it a popular choice for use in desserts and baked goods.

Ube has a long history in the Philippines, where it has been grown and cultivated for centuries. It is an important part of the country's culinary tradition, and is often used to make dishes such as ube halaya, a sweet, purplish-colored jam made from boiled and mashed ube.

In recent years, ube has gained popularity around the world, particularly in the United States, where it has become a trend in food and beverage products. It is often used to flavor ice cream, pastries, and other sweets, and can be found in a variety of products in markets and specialty stores. Despite its increasing popularity, ube remains an integral part of Filipino culture and cuisine, and is an important part of the country's food heritage.

What does EMME's Ube fragrance smell like?

EMME's Ube smells like a baked dessert cooling on the rack, fresh out of the oven. Our Ube leads with familiar gourmand notes like vanilla bean, before developing into something totally unique with the balance of its starchy ingredients, sago and the Ube root itself. It's cozy, delicious, and perfect for Ube connoisseurs and first timers alike!

Reed Diffuser Instructions

-Carefully remove the cap from the bottle of fragrance oil.

-Insert the reeds into the bottle, making sure they are fully submerged in the oil. How many you use is up to you- more reeds, more scent!

-Allow the reeds to absorb the oil for at least an hour, or until they are saturated.

-Turn the reeds upside down, so the dry ends are now in the oil.

-Place the bottle in a safe location where the fragrance can be appreciated- keep away from open flames, pets, children, or high traffic areas where the diffuser could be knocked over.

-Flip the reeds occasionally to refresh the scent and keep the fragrance consistent.
